Digital media based companies have had and are having a substantial effect on the music industry and its artists to review how their businesses impact the music industry and its participants and the ways in which artists can utilize to their advantage the technologies and opportunities provided by those companies. 

Using Music to Sell: Movies, Commercials, and Video Games
‘How to get your music licensed from conception to completion.’ As many in the music industry already know, there has been a huge shift from selling music physically and even online to using your music to sell products.  The time of record sales are in the past for the majority of artists.  The current trend in the industry is merchandising your music.  Music licensing and merchandising are turning into the largest moneymakers for artists.

“RecessionProof” - Financing Your Career and Cost Cutting Measures
