Your admission price includes a 90-minutes presentation, Q&A, and a signed copy of the new 2012 edition of "Patent It Yourself"!

A Talk By David Pressman, Patent Attorney

David Pressman, a patent lawyer and author of the world’s largest selling patent guide, “Patent It Yourself” (Nolo Press, 16th Ed., 2012) will discuss what an inventor should do when an invention is made and how to protect any creation initially. His talk will cover how to determine if the invention is commercially viable, when to build a prototype, and how to determine if it’s patentable. He’ll also cover the three types of patents, the other types of IP, when to file a patent application, and how to do it yourself and use a patent attorney. Other topics will include foreign patenting, licensing of the invention and patent, and how to get the US patent Office to grant a patent. Finally he’ll cover maintenance of the patent and scams to be aware of.

David Pressman will autograph books following the workshop!
