Family Law for Creative Artists
With Kimberley Lewellan, Esq.

This workshop covers community property law and intellectual property issues faced by creative artists. Whether contemplating marriage or facing divorce, find out how marriage affects ownership rights in intellectual property. Just because you created something, doesn't mean you are the exclusive owner. You will learn the basics of community property law and how a Court views income, assets and debts. A question and answer session will follow.

Presenter: Kimberly E. Lewellen is a family law trial attorney and family law mediator based in San Francisco, CA, who specializes in complex divorces involving patents, copyright, trademark and other intellectual property assets. Although Ms. Lewellen now practices family law exclusively, she started her career as a business litigator representing clients such as John Law (co-founder of BURNINGMAN) in a partnership dissolution and trademark infringement action over the BURNINGMAN trademark and tradedress.
