How to Represent the Low Power FM Station License Applicant: Module 1 [1-HR MCLE Included]

About 500 truly grassroots applicants for the last-ever low-power FM (LPFM) licenses which ever will be available are up against about 1200 competing applications either from organizations not truly qualified for LPFM or organizations with whom they may need to share a frequency. This presents a challenging situation for local grass roots (almost always small) applicants, one in which they will need some skilled legal help. This Webinar is training for lawyers who are or will be asked to help applicants sort through this situation.

PRESENTERS:
PETER FRANCK is a member of the National Lawyers’ Guild Committee on Democratic Communications (NLGCDC) and an experienced entertainment lawyer practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Columbia School of Law, Franck has been involved in the struggle for grassroots media for more than twenty years.

SANJAY JOLLY is policy director at the Prometheus Radio Project, a leading organization in community radio activism and advocacy. His work with community radio stations began in Guatemala, wandered into Mexico, and later headed north to Philadelphia. He is originally from Detroit, Michigan and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
