Act,\u201d the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) established a new pro bono program, the California Inventors Assistance Program, designed to assist financially under-resourced independent inventors and small businesses.<\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a; font-family: Helvetica;\"><span><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">CLA was selected as the statewide Administrator of the program throughout California to process pro bono intakes in conjunction with the USPTO. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">The CIAP also currently provides services to five\u00a0western U.S. states (Hawaii, Alaska,\u00a0Oregon, California and Nevada).<\/span><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><br \/><\/span><\/p><p
