CLA's referral service is registered with the State Bar of California and conforms with the Minimum Standards for a Lawyer Referral Service in California Business and Professions Code Section 6155, both effective January 1, 2014 - Certificate #0021. Financial assistance related to pro bono legal fees may be available to parties seeking to use CLA's referral service who have adjusted gross incomes (or AGIs) indicated on their most recent Income Tax Returns filed with the government not exceeding 300% of the federal poverty guidelines, which are available at https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines (Note: If that address does not take you to a page located outside of the present website, then the guidelines may be obtained from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services or searched for online by a search of that department's website for a particular page entitled, "U.S. FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES USED TO DETERMINE FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY FOR CERTAIN FEDERAL PROGRAMS"). If your AGI is below, at or near 300% of the federal poverty guideline for your household size, you may qualify for one of CLA's pro bono or modest means programs.

The Arts Arbitration and Mediation Services [AAMS] has been providing alternative dispute resolution for creative artists since 1980. AAMS was the first alternative dispute resolution program in the country created for the arts and entertainment communities.
