Spotlight on The Arts Since 1993 California Lawyers for the Arts has proudly sponsored Spotlight on the Arts, a comprehensive multidisciplinary arts workforce development program for low-income high school students ages 14 to 17. Since inception we have provided job training and career exploration to more than 900 students. Spotlight employs a three pronged approach that includes internships or apprenticeships, workshops and college counseling. | International Arts Travel Program California Lawyers for the Arts has offered international arts travel programs to locations around the world, including Cuba, France, South Africa and Ghana. These programs are designed for artists as well as attorneys and other interested individuals seeking unique travel experiences. CLA, an authorized provider of continuing legal education, has offered MCLE credits for some of these international program |
Youth Mediators in Schools This program teaches high school and middle school students a peaceful and productive approach to resolving conflict with others as students develop strong communication, leadership and decision making skills which promote an improved school climate. Since 2013, YMS has established peer mediation in fourteen schools in the Sacramento region and trained over 1900 youth mediators. |
