This workshop provides a basic overview of copyright law and answers some of the fundamental questions associated with copyright: What is copyright? What rights do copyright owners possess? What is copyright infringement?
The workshop also covers terms of ownership, the process and benefits of registration, limitations and exceptions to copyrights, how to avoid infringing on the copyrights of others, and the latest updates to copyright claims processes under the CASE Act.
International copyright aspects are also explored briefly, specifically copyright protection outside the US, international copyright conventions, and EU copyrights.
