With Gary G. Goldberger, Esq.

Everyone has read about the growth of the foreign market for US films and television product. What does this mean, though, and what should producers know about the opportunities and pitfalls of the international marketplace? This workshop will offer a brief overview and explanation of the international market, discussion of its importance as part of the production and distribution of entertainment product, and some tips for navigating through it.

Gary G. Goldberger, Esq. Since mid-2007, Gary Goldberger his operated a solo law practice in which he focuses on transactional entertainment law, new media law and general business law. From mid-2004 to early 2007, Goldberger was an independent producer and a consultant to companies in the area of international and domestic television distribution. During that time, he was the executive producer of four movies that have been distributed internationally. Prior to that, for many years Goldberger was the Executive Vice President of Carlton America, an international television production and distribution Company; he headed the business affairs of the company and acted as the General Counsel, participated in international television markets and in product licensing to buyers worldwide, and was an executive producer or co-producer on many television movies.
