Film Financing and Distribution

Program: Join CLA and Encino Lawyers Association for an overview of how film financing and distribution works. From development funds to completion loans and everything in between, learn how a film project receives financing and the legal framework that drives the process. We’ll then explore the elements of a distribution deal - the demands from both sides of the table and the usual contract language.
Presenters:
Gary Goldberger, Esq. operates a solo law practice in which he focuses on transactional entertainment law, new media law, and general business law. Clients include production/distribution companies, growing small to mid-sized companies, independent filmmakers, documentarians, publishers, talent, screenwriters, book authors, musicians, and internet and new media businesses.
Elsa Ramo, Esq. is managing partner for Ramo Law. The focus of her firm is to provide comprehensive legal services to producers, financiers, creators and owners of film, television and digital content.
Mitra Ahouraian. Esq. operates a solo law practice specializing in film and entertainment financing, negotiating and structuring artist and production deals, and all intellectual property and corporate matters.
