With Lisa A. Palter, Esq.

Foreign artists and entertainers have many visa options available to them when seeking to work in the United States.  U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, however, has not made it easy to get one of those work visas.  This seminar will describe some common – and uncommon – methods for foreign artists wanting to spend time in the U.S. including both temporary (nonimmigrant) and permanent (“green card”) routes.

Lisa A. Palter is an immigration attorney specializing in representing foreign artists, athletes and entertainers.  Prior to going solo in 2002, Lisa was an Associate for 5 years in the San Francisco office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (formerly Graham & James) where she represented a range of clients from web designers to World Champion athletes to CEOs of multinational companies.  Before that, Lisa worked at another San Francisco firm specializing in all areas of U.S. immigration law.  She has also served as the Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Sports and Entertainment Law Section and is a panel attorney for CLA's Lawyer Referral Service.
