Join AAMS for a one-day mediation training!

The Arts Arbitration and Mediation Services, a program of California Lawyers for the Arts, presents a one-day introduction to mediation. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided.

This training will focus on the following:

  • Learning about conflict
  • Developing skills for effective communication
  • Practice active listening
  • Discovering the role of the mediator
  • The AAMS’ mediation process
  • Engage in role-plays with coaches

Six hours of MCLE credit available for an additional fee. Limited scholarships available upon request to AAMS@calawyersforthearts.org. 10% discount for CLA members!

About the Trainer: 

Mattie ​Robertson ​is a dispute resolution professional who has mediated over 300 cases, and is certified as both a mediator and arbitrator. She has mentored many other professional mediators and conducted numerous conflict resolution trainings. Mattie is the Program Director for the Arts Arbitration and Mediation Services program for CLA in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mattie currently serves as Co-Chair for the Alameda County Bar Association's ADR Executive Committee, and is a member of both Chabot College Administration of Justice Department’s Advisory Board and Alameda County Superior Courts’ ADR Administration Committee. Mattie is a graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
