Bill O’Brien, Esq. is a trial and appellate lawyer with more than 19
years of experience in intellectual property cases. Bill has extensive experience with copyright, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, patent, and idea submission cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. His work has involved I.P. rights in subjects ranging from films to military aircraft, from music to medical devices, and from infomercials to advanced chemistry. He has successfully represented clients in major jury trials and in the federal and state appellate courts. Bill began his intellectual property career at a widely respected intellectual property boutique, Christie Parker & Hale, before joining O’Melveny & Myers. Bill was a partner at O’Melveny and Co-Chair of its Patent and Technology Litigation Practice Group. He was also a partner at the entertainment litigation firm Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan. At his current firm, One LLP, Bill is able to offer personal, high quality legal services far more efficiently and at much lower cost than is possible in large firms. Bill works with clients to strategically plan and budget for each case at the outset of his work and on an ongoing basis thereafter. Bill closely follows developments in intellectual property law and procedure, and frequently speaks and writes on intellectual property issues.
