  • CLA is sensitive to the current situation faced by the non profit and arts sector within COVID-19. We are currently offering our workshops at a sliding scale or "pay what you can" price. While CLA is a nonprofit we are also in need or your continued support, we seek to ensure accessibility of our content and workshops to all. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. California Lawyers for the Arts is proud to present its third annual bi-national symposium, INTERSECTIONS: Art and Law at the Border. Each year we invite artists, activists, lawyers, scholars, and researchers to contribute their unique perspectives, and expertise on various border topics. With a focus on issues affecting the geo-political context of Tijuana-San Diego, the intention of this gathering is to highlight the work of those responding to border issues at the intersection of art, praxis and legal issues. 

Within the current political climate, the voices of artists, activists, and community stakeholders have been central to interrogating the impact of policies and legislation along border zones across the United States raising key questions on some of the most pressing issues faced by our newly appointed administration. INTERSECTIONS 2021, promises to be a meeting place to further bolster critical and timely conversations specific to the transborder region of San Diego/Tijuana and beyond. 

*Registration will grant access to all four webinar events listed in our program.*

Webinars will occur weekly beginning May 6th - May 26th, 5-7PM PST.
