  • CLA is sensitive to the current situation faced by the non-profit and arts sector within COVID-19. We are currently offering our workshops at a sliding scale or "pay what you can" price. While CLA is a nonprofit we are also in need of your continued support but want to ensure accessibility of our content and workshops to all no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Nonprofits and arts organizations are leading the way on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, programs that change the internal work culture and build external community relationships with the goal of amplifying historically underrepresented voices.

Committing to new DEI strategies is a holistic process; it might require your organization to create new departments, hire new team members, launch new programming, and reassess your marketing and communication. But none of these efforts will be successful unless the highest levels of leadership are supporting the plans: the board, the owners, the CEOs, and more.

This workshop helps your organization think about DEI from the top down, moving past hiring practices and into larger, ideological change. Dr. Dené Starks will share her expertise as a DEI educator and trainer, and Eugene Clark-Herrera will discuss leading DEI programs at his law firm, Orrick LLC.

About Online Workshops:

Registrants will be emailed a link to register for the Zoom seminar online after booking through the CLA website. Please make sure to register both via this page and on the Zoom registration page.
