25 Hour Basic Mediation Skills Training
for Young Adults

This mediation training will be led by California Lawyers for the Arts in collaboration with Hip Hop for Change and is designed for people ages 21-35. Topics include the mediation process, communication and listening skills, reading body language, street mediation, confidentiality, neutrality, ethics and much more. The training includes interactive roleplays.
Whether you are in the arts, human resources, social services, education, legal services or business management, if you wish to develop your interpersonal skills; or, are starting out on a new career path, you will find this Basic Mediation Skills Training invaluable. For those interested in volunteering on one of our mediation panels, including Arts Arbitration and Mediation Services and Civil Court Harassment Mediation, this training is essential.
This program, normally priced at $599, is offered for $100 with scholarships available.
The group size is currently limited to 12. Participants must attend all 6 sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion. We cannot provide make-up sessions.
The training will be held at the East Bay Community Space at 507 55th Street in Oakland, CA.
There is free street parking nearby.
