Date: Thursday, May 25, 2023

Time: 5PM via Zoom.

Subject Matter Expert:  Paige Pembrook

About the Speaker:

Paige Pembrook, Founding Partner, Tectonic, LLP, San Francisco

Paige Pembrook is an attorney and Partner at Tectonic, LLP, where she represents individuals and organizations facing intellectual property and privacy related legal issues. As a litigator, Paige represents clients in lawsuits in state and federal courts. As a legal advisor, Paige counsels clients on how to avoid lawsuit risks and secure intellectual property and privacy rights. In particular, Paige enjoys helping clients handle the tangle of privacy, publicity, free speech, and free information rights concerns that hang over creators who work with real subjects.

Paige graduated from the University of California College of the Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, Paige clerked at the Federal Trade Commission, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the California Department of Justice, and the Supreme Court of California, where she focused on privacy, free speech, and free information issues.

Prior to founding Tectonic, Paige worked as a business litigation attorney at various Bay Area law firms. Paige continued to study privacy and security issues, earning practical certificates from the International Association of Privacy Professionals in United States and European privacy law.

Presently, in addition to representing her clients, Paige speaks to students and professionals on topics including writing, copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity issues. Outside of the legal field, Paige spends her time volunteering at her local Humane Society / SPCA.
