California Lawyers for the Arts proudly presents its sixth annual bi-national symposium, INTERSECTIONS: Art and Law at the Border. With a focus on the unique geopolitical context of the San Diego-Tijuana region, recently named the 2024 Design Capital of the World, this year's symposium delves into the dynamic interplay between art, law, and design in the borderlands.

Through a series of panels, the symposium will highlight the collaborative efforts of designers, architects, artists, and community advocates working to unite two cities divided by a border wall. Presenters will showcase urban and community projects that address pressing humanitarian challenges, offer innovative solutions for cross-border collaboration, and artistic adaptations that reshape the discourse surrounding borders. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage with leading experts, including legal professionals, artists, and community activists, as they share their insights and expertise.

Join us at INTERSECTIONS 2024 at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego as we explore the transformative power of design and its role in shaping the social, cultural, and political dynamics of the San Diego-Tijuana region.
