Part 1: The Building Blocks of Fundraising–Back to Basics

As in any business model, a diversified income stream is essential for a stable organization. During this introductory workshop, you’ll learn the role philanthropy can play in your organization, the role of the board of directors and staff and how to create a message to your clients and patrons.

Presenter: Allison Cagley is the Director of Development for California Musical Theater. California Musical Theatre includes Music Circus, and Broadway Sacramento. Allison Cagley has been an active fund development and public relations professional in California for over 20 years. Her experience includes strategic planning, grant writing, special events, direct mail appeals, and capital campaigns. She has served civic and social organizations including American Red Cross, Discovery Museum, California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, Christian Brothers High School, Families First Foundation and Explorit ScienceCenter. Allison is also a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento.Allison is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento and an AFP Certified Fundraising Executive since 1993.
